Modern and Contemporary Art Festival (MoCAF) 2025

Editorial Team Contributor

As a contributor to the Editorial Team of the Modern and Contemporary Art Festival (MoCAF) 2025, I wrote PR stories under ART+ Magazine, co-developed editorial direction for the event, and led contributors in producing and proofreading written outputs. I created interactive editorial content and produced video reels that highlighted the experiences of MoCAF volunteers, emphasizing their shared appreciation for art. I also conducted one-on-one interviews with prominent figures in modern and contemporary art, translating their insights into accessible narratives. This experience deepened my skills in writing, editorial leadership, and creative storytelling within a fast-paced cultural setting.

I contributed to the Special Projects Department of the magazine, where I supported the Special Projects Manager in managing day-to-day tasks, including drafting press releases, articles, and social media content related to ongoing initiatives. I also attended and covered media events as part of the team’s outreach efforts. In addition, I was part of the Editorial Team for the 2025 Modern and Contemporary Art Festival (MoCAF), the Philippines’ most dynamic art festival, contributing to the festival’s content and communications efforts.

Rappler (MovePH)

Intern

I contributed to MovePH, the civic engagement arm of Rappler, where I developed multimedia reports on cultural heritage and urban transportation, and reported on pressing social issues, including LGBTQ+ rights, public transit, and press freedom. I participated in Quezon City’s car-free initiative by engaging in community consultations with residents of the Tomas Morato area. During typhoon coverage, I supported Rappler’s real-time reporting by monitoring on-ground developments and helping coordinate crowdsourced donation efforts. Additionally, I volunteered for the 2024 Social Good Summit, an international forum that brings together global innovators and thought leaders.

I'm deeply interested in storytelling across various forms of media, with a particular passion for queer television shows that explore identity, representation, and community. I enjoy reading and writing poetry for its ability to distill emotion and meaning into powerful, compact language. My curiosity about pop culture fuels my engagement with sketch comedy, as well as film and album reviews, where I explore how art reflects and shapes social narratives. These interests not only entertain but also inform my understanding of culture, media, and the human experience.
